Patrick Cannell

Patrick Cannell is a composer and producer based in Brooklyn, New York.  Proficiency on a number of instruments, versatility across a wide range of genres, and a love for world exploration has led to his involvement in a variety of projects both in the US and abroad. Recently, these include the scores to Academy Award-nominated writer/director José Rivera’s The Fall of a Sparrow, Academy Award and Golden Globe-nominated director Zaza Urushadze’s Anton, and director Rashaad Ernesto Green’s Premature which premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. Beyond film, projects include an upcoming Netflix original series from Academy Award-nominated writer/director Carlos Saldanha (Ice Age, Rio, Ferdinand), Clio and Cannes Gold Lion award-winning TV, Internet and Super Bowl commercials, the score for an innovative Broadway musical dramedy, orchestral scores for permanent exhibits at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., an orchestral suite to honor US migrant farm workers, collaborations with Grammy-winning producers and recording artists as writer/producer, chamber pieces, suites for various types of dance, a symphony that's in the works, and benefit concerts for Haiti and Japan disaster relief where he served as musical director.
