Carson Alexander

Singer / Songwriter

Born in Dallas, Texas, but a proud native of the Memphis Delta region, Carson Alexander grew up around the Memphis blues, learning guitar at the age of ten. He wrote his first song at age thirteen and at this time began playing on the iconic Beale Street. An infusion of blues and Americana, Carson is influenced by the likes of John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Ryan Adams.

His stage credits include opening up for Asleep at the Wheel and Midland. He toured with Bleu Edmondson as Bleu’s guitar player on a national tour in 2010 and is now in Austin, Texas sharing his Southern Rock and Blues talent at many Texas venues. The late Clifford Antone (promoter/club owner) helped him get his start in playing in many famous Texas venues, such as Antone’s where Carson shared the stage with Stevie Ray Vaughan’s band, Double Trouble. When Carson is not on stage, he is also teaching music lessons and is a guitar tech for other performers.

Carson’s latest single, “Southern Wind”, (Produced by Dale Penner of Paradise Alley and on Synapse Publishing & Entertainment LLCs label), promises to capture the essence of the south with its soulful melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Carson’s signature smooth vocals and masterful guitar work effortlessly transports audiences to the sun soaked landscapes and winding roads of the south in his first solo composed radio single.
