Leander Taylor
Producer / Drummer
Leander born and raised in Chicago, he started playing the drums at the early age of 6 at Monument of Faith church. He was able to further his skills while attending Roosevelt University. He has had the privilege of performing at some of Chicago’s legendary venues such as the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Petrillo Music Shell, Chicago Symphony Center, Arie Crown Theater, Regal Theater, Credit Union 1 Arena, United Center, Soldiers Field, Toyota Park, countless hotels, festivals, recording studios, and jazz clubs. He has also been able to perform in various cities/states across the US.
Performed for major events such as Taste of Chicago, Milwaukee’s Summerfest, and the Pepsi Gulf Jam in Panama City, Florida (opened for Carrie Underwood)
Because of his skill to play various genres and styles of music, he is an in demand first call musician.
Leander has been teaching music for the Chicago Public School district for over 27 years. He is currently the band director at Benito Juarez High School.
He was a producer for Synapse Publishing and Entertainment LLC with artist Andrew Salgado on his 86 Volume 2 project.
He also co-wrote and produced on several recordings with the World Class Noise Soul Band.
